HELLO AND WELCOME TO MY NEWEST PIECE!!! >v<
This is a song parody of Confrontation in "Jekyll and Hyde", centring on a redeemed GZtale Papyrus/Jealousy Papyrus! It kind of shows how I understand his actions ^^
SO WITHOUT FURTHER ADO LET'S BEGIN!
Jeal: redeemed Gzpap
Captain: past, sadistic gzpap
Jeal: It's over now, I know inside
No one will ever know
The lost tale of that massacre
And those who died
No one will ever know
They'd only see a tragedy
They'd not see my intent
The shadow of my cold joy
Will forever kill the good
That I had meant
Am I a good man?
Am I a madman?
It's such a fine line
Between a good man and a-
Captain: Do you really think that I would ever let you go?
Do you think that I'll set you free?
If you do, I regret to inform you
It simply isn't so
You will never escape from what you've done!
Jeal: All that you are is a face in a mirror
All that you are, a distant memory
Captain: I'm what you face when you face in a mirror
Your evil deeds burned deep in your mind
Jeal: All that you are is the face of my past self
You're just a demon who refuses to go
After tonight, I will end this legacy
Captain: But this is not just a legacy, my friend
And it will never fade
You've created a legend
That goes on!
No one will forget, no matter what you may pretend
And they'll remember long after you're gone
Jeal: Soon you'll vanish, along with the nightmares
As a changed person I'll start anew
Captain: I won't vanish cause this is your nature!
Each day, your claws will be stained with blood!
Jeal: I don't need to kill to survive like you need to!
I'll become whole as you drown in dust!
I'll leave behind this brutal history!
I'll stay in your mind forever!
Determination is raging inside !
Captain: And people close to you will realise
They're foolish to believe that that sadistic monster has changed!
Jeal: Can't you see...it's over now!
It's time to die!
Captain: You are weak.
You will fall!
Jeal: If I fall, You'll fall too!
Captain: When you fall, I'll rise above!
Jeal: I won't let
You do this!
Captain: Don't be rude,
I won't leave!
I will change-!
You can't change
Who you are!
Jeal: Yes,I will!
Captain: No, you can't!
Jeal: Golzy damn you!
Take all your talk and you can go burn in hell!
Captain: I'll see you there, Jealousy.
HELLO EVERYBODY!!! Welcome to the second part of Insomnia!! in which I torture the ex-Captain of the Royal Guard >:3
With that said....let's go onward to the story !
"Aaaaand that's all for tonight's stream! See ya all tomorrow night!"
Mel waved, grinning at the camera that pointed right at him. In the stream chat, the people sent their goodbyes and slowly went offline. Soon the chatroom was completely empty and silent.
The skeleton sighed, smirking to himself. That had been yet another enjoyable gaming session, and he can't be happier with himself. With the introduction of Bendy and The Ink Machine, a old cartoon-style horror game that he learned about online, he had decided to try it out, despite the fact that he might not be able to handle it due to the lack of light.
However, to his surprise, when he took some fans' advice to put on non-scary music during the playthrough, even though it kind of ruins the effect(he had been listening to Build Our Machine during the whole stream),he had not had one single severe panic attack during the whole thing. Hell, he even enjoyed it!
Sure, his fear of total darkness in real life would probably stay due to his scarring experience in the early days of his birth, but he was slowly overcoming his fear of the dark in a smaller scale.
And he was proud of himself for that.
I can't wait to tell Dad the good news!
Just when he was about to jump into his covers to get a good night's sleep, the sound of slashing claws interrupted thoughts.
Geez, did you have to train now?!
His good mood ebbing away, Mel climbed off his bed and walked out his room.
The training room was painted white, a shade that was bright yet easy on the eyes. In the room, the preparing/waiting space was separated with the much larger actual training space with a glass wall and door that linked both spaces.
In the training space, Jeal's sharp claws ripped through the bodies of numerous robotic drones, sending clear metallic sounds echoing through the air. He did not stop, nor did he falter, until the final drone's power flickered out.
Panting, he kicked hard at the dark grey robot before it was sent back into the walls with the others for automatic repair. Just then, he sensed a sharp gaze behind him.
"Melancholy, I know you're there," He growled.
"Well, that's one way to greet someone." Mel retorted, walking into the training space.
"What do you want? I have better things to do than to deal with you." Mel's eyesockets widened slightly. Was that a hint of trembling in his voice?
"Well, I came here to tell you to turn it down, cuz I'm going to sleep." Mel explained as the taller skeleton pressed various options of training on the glass control panel, sweat trickling down his face, seemingly avoiding his gaze. That's weird, he thought. He normally looks straight at me. "But y'know, since we're both wide awake, care for a sparring session? "
"No." The ex-captain of the royal Guard spat, his body shaking like his voice. His hands were balled into tight fists. "Now leave me alone."
All those were symptoms that Mel knew all too well.
He opened his mouth tentatively.
"Hey, dude, you alrigh-"
"NO! I WILL NEVER BE 'ALRIGHT', BECAUSE PAPYRUS IS GONE!!"
The shorter skeleton found himself taken aback, as he stared straight at his ex-arch-nemesis. His blazing orange eyes were filled with nothing but pain as tears streamed down them.
Realising Mel watch him snap, the taller skeleton whirled around almost instantly.
A sense of determination rose inside Mel's soul. The determination to find out just what shook the ex-captain of the Royal Guard so badly.
Mel sighed. "Just thought I'd call it even, y'know? Returning the favour..."
Jeal did remember. And now, he regretted his show of softness more than ever.
Still, he found himself unable to hold his emotions in anymore, and words flowed out of
"Papyrus," He whispered, " was a sweet child. He would never want to hurt anyone," he smiled a bit, albeit sadly.
"But as you know, the Underground was never as kind. As soon as I was born, I knew he would DIE out there, or everyone would take advantage of him."
"That's why I had to step in. So forgive me for not listening to your plea." There was an edge in his voice now as he grit his sharp teeth. "Do you know, Melancholy? Why my name is Jealousy?"
"Yes, I do now." Mel answered boldly. "You were born because Papyrus felt left behind during the determination experiment, right-"
"Yes, but I was also jealous of you."
"I didn't want Papyrus to know about me, because if he did, he'll never be able to live the same way he used to anymore." His voice slowly grew louder and thicker. "And.....I didn't want to....get attached....because I know he'll die out there....and I won't be able to handle it...but Melancholy...you...after all those times I hurt Sans....you still cared so much about him....How can you still possibly stand that, When you know you'd lose him at any moment ?! How could you possibly be able to stand LOVING HIM!?" His voice grew quiet once again, his body trembling. "I always thought, I was the strongest out of the four of us-You, Sans, Papyrus and me-but no...." He let out a bitter chuckle. "I kept deluding people when I hurt them, because I....I...thought it would make the job easier, but........I'm pathetic, aren't I?"
Jealmknew he sounded like he was putting on a ruse, and Mel would never believe what he said. He braced himself for the cutting remark.
Then he felt arms around his waist from behind him.
"Dude...why didn't you tell us sooner?"
If Jeal had told him all that when they were still in the underground , Mel admitted, he would have already brutally cut him off and called him out on faking. But now....after his attempt to comfort him on that night, he noted that Jeal wasn't as heartless as he once thought. And after that confession...
Mel realized that Jeal was just like him. But much more broken. He put on a cold, sadistic facade to hide how much pain he was feeling.
"You would never believe me....because....I was so....so-"
"Hey, none of that matters now. I'm still pissed at what you did, but you had to...didn't you...?"
The taller skeleton fell to his knees, feeling bright orange tears roll down his cheeks.
"It....it hurts...." Jeal murmured, as Mel crouched in front of him, throwing his arms around him. "It hurts so much...I can't take it....."
"I know....I know." Another pair of arms wrapped around him as he heard another soft voice. Gaster. "It's alright, you don't have to hide it anymore."
And with that, Jeal's composure finally shattered.
Gaster let him lean on his chest as he cried with raw emotion.
"It's gonna be okay."
Jeal supposed that was true.
OKAY EVERYONE! Whew, that was quite the ride! XD
I'm sorry if this came out a bit cheesy ^^'
AS ALWAYS, CRITICISM IS WELCOMED AND HOPE YOU ENJOYED!
I'll do more funny stuff later I promise XD
Also, Announcement: There probably won't be any more "serious" things for the Plus J au from here on out because I figured out how to put him in the sequel of TVIOS >v< so STAY TUNED! And this au will now be used only for comedic purposes after this ^^
Jeal's eyes widened, taken aback by both Mel's words and his tone. His glowing blue half soul appeared right in front of his chest.
"GET THE FUCK OUT. You don't belong here."
And with that, the taller skeleton felt himself being thrown across the hall between Mel's room and the guest room(which was his room), barely able to stop himself from falling on his bottom. He narrowed his eyes at the panting skeleton, gritting his teeth.
You ungrateful prick...!
He was just about to open the door to walk into his room when he heard anguished , suppressed sobs from behind him.
"I...I thought I was over it!!" Mel muttered.
Jeal knew he had about a hundred reasons to simply walk back into his room and block out the sound.
Despite that, as he recalled his first few moments in the Void-Lost, confused, terrified,-he shuddered slightly.
Since he had took complete control over Papyrus's body, he had never had to worry about plunging back into the dark, and even now he wasn't afraid of being in the black space, because he had been all alone all his life and being in the dark and the Underground was no different. But he knew that Mel was different.
A relatively foreign feeling rose in his soul. Empathy. Compassion.
Normally, he would never allow himself to feel such an emotion. It would cloud his clear judgment when he had to make decisions as a Captain of the Royal Guard for the greater good of the underground.
But this time, this time.....
He guessed he could make an exception.
Cautiously, quietly, he walked towards Mel, who was sobbing uncontrollably, his face buried in his pillow
"It wasn't your fault."
Mel slowly looked up with teary eyesockets, searching the other skeleton's for any signs of mockery or sarcasm. But to his surprise, he found none.
He looked down again. A bitter laugh escaped his mouth.
"Like you said....I'm pathetic."
Regret flashed through Jeal's soul. Did he truly take that to heart for that long?
"...you put up a much better fight than I imagined." Jeal sat down at the corner of Mel's bed. He let him.
The two skeletons sat in silence, realising that this had been the first time they had been together without arguing or fighting each other. It was slightly unsettling, but also comforting in a way.
"...Should I wake Father up?"
Mel simply shook his head at Jeal's question. "I'll be fine."
Jeal nodded, hearing the unspoken gratitude in his voice.
"I'll just leave then." The skeleton remarked. "And...I'll leave the light on."
Mel didn't reply.
Jeal sighed, and walked out the room.
Actually the first part and the second part are different stories!
So...stay tuned for part two :3
